Brad and his No. 26 crew
toughed out a long Saturday night of beating and banging under the lights
at Salem. After taking a provisional starting spot (32nd), Brad lost high
gear on the first restart. He ran the rest of the event in third gear,
managing to stay out of the way during the evening’s nine caution periods.
Under those conditions a 23rd place finish, combined with no additional
damage to the team’s short-track car, was nothing to scoff at! Next
weekend the team travels to South Boston Speedway in Virginia. The Big
Daddy’s Liberty 200 was rained out in July by the remnants of Tropical
Storm Bill. |
