Long Pond	17th for Smith at Pocono	31 Jul 2004
	Brad Smith and his No. 26 Koolmat.com Ford team were able to survive a cut left rear tire at the drop of the green flag on Saturday to soldier on to a 17th place finish at the Giant 200 at Pocono Raceway. The blown tire occured in turn one of the 2.5-mile track, causing Brad to lose laps early on in the 80-lap event. He was seven laps down when the checkered flag fell. The team, short on practice time due to foggy conditions in Long Pond, qualified 28th for the event. This was Brad's eighth top-20 finish so far this season. In the June Pocono event the team finished 21st. Next up for the ARCA RE/MAX Series is the ARCA RE/MAX 200 by Hamot/Siemens, Giant Eagle, and Pork, at Lake Erie Speedway in North East, Pennsylvania. The event runs on Saturday, August 7.
