Rain Shortens Another Event; Brad Finishes 27th at Kentucky

09 Jul 2004

For the second week in a row, rain shortened one of the ARCA RE/MAX Series events. The Kentucky 150, which was originally scheduled for Friday, July 9, ran Saturday afternoon instead when rain fell Friday. 67 of 100 scheduled laps were run Saturday afternoon before rain fell again.

The event got off to a slow start, with early crashes of Matt Hagans and Anthony Hill keeping almost all of the first 20 laps under caution. Brad pitted early to top off on fuel and would have been good to go for the entire event. An extended green flag run before the rain fell left the No. 26 team two laps down when the event was called.

Brad started the race in 19th position, as qualifying was also rained out and the field lined up according to owners' points.

Next up the ARCA RE/MAX Series will visit Gateway International Raceway for the Shop 'N' Save 150 on July 16.
