APPLIANCEZONE.COM RACING DEPLOYS UPGRADES AT DAYTONA
Team Unveils New, Beefed Up Program During ARCA Season Opener |
| |
Corydon, Indiana – ApplianceZone.com Racing will give fans a first look at major upgrades to their stock car program when the 2010 ARCA Series opens on February 6
with the Lucas Oil Mist 200 at Daytona International Speedway.
When ApplianceZone.com
and Brad Smith
Motorsports first teamed
up in 2009, the ARCA
Series was already
underway and so the two
parties limited
themselves to “getting
by with just the basics”
to test the waters
toward working together
on a larger scale in
2010. This year’s
renewed and expanded
program was then
announced at the ARCA
RE/MAX Series
Championship Awards
Banquet last December.
Since then, the team has
been hurrying to
complete major
enhancements.
According to Brad Smith, driver of ApplianceZone.com Racing’s #26 Ford, fans will see a major difference well
before the start. “We won’t have even started the engine and fans will know right away that things are going to be different for 2010,” said Smith. “Last year’s
white car will be dramatically changed to black with gold lettering and ApplianceZone.com’s bright blue planet Earth. I think you’ll be able to see it from
space.
”The team’s new hauler, tool box and uniforms will also bear the exciting paint scheme. However, Smith says even stronger upgrades are in store at
Daytona where it really counts: beneath the hood.
“The Daytona car will feature an engine fresh off a dynamometer run and fresh drive train components,” Smith
commented. “Although it’s too early to say how we’ll do against Danica, I’ll sure feel good blowing past her in our new cool looking car.”
Jim Allen, CEO of
ApplianceZone.com, the fourth largest online retailer of appliance parts and accessories, is equally excited about the new season. “Having a stock car program
in an established series such as ARCA is a major milestone for a family-owned business such as ours,” he said. “My wife, children and I have worked very hard
to get to this point and we’re thrilled to share our enjoyment of stock car racing with our customers and fans.”
